Sculpture at The Mount 2025 Terms
I agree with all the conditions stated below for existing or proposed sculpture(s) submitted for consideration:
- The submitted sculpture is a viewer-safe fabrication, and is composed of viewer-safe materials.
- This exhibition is sited on grounds that are free and open to the public, with minimal security and surveillance. The submitted sculpture can safely withstand public engagement, and I accept that viewers might engage with the sculpture without staff supervision.
- A detailed installation plan is required for consideration.
- The submitted sculpture is suitable for long-term, outdoor exposure and weather, and can withstand substantial exposure to sun, rain, and wind.
- As the artist, I agree to make every effort to comply with the scheduled date and time of my sculpture's installation and removal.
- If, when delivered, any of the above conditions are not met and timely remediation is not possible, I accept that the sculpture will not be installed.
- If the sculpture is sold, the sale will be managed by The Mount. 70% of the sale price will go to the artist, and 30% will go to The Mount as commission. The sale will take place in Massachusetts, and The Mount will be responsible for collecting 6.125% sales tax from the buyer. Transport and delivery of any sold piece is the responsibility of the artist.
